I'll jump back from the floor thread with the floor ground and seal and ready to go.....after it drys a couple days. Still need to finish the mud upstairs anyway...and the whole Christmas thing :)

I'm still hoping to get the equipment and maybe the Ferrari moved in before new year. I'll seal the aprons outside the doors in the spring when its warm enough for the stuff to dry.

Santa brought a neat gear powerline wifi thing....it seems to work. There is a signal quality light that mostly stays on the lowest quality even though its plugged in right near the breaker box... bit it works. Yay.

Move in day! Still smells awful from the floor sealer but so be it. Lana "suggested" I clean stuff before moving it to the new shop....we'll see......its sunny today but it looks like 5 days of rain coming so I'd like the big stuff moved today.....

Is that green thing under the stairs your WELDER??? It looks like it would dim the lights in your whole subdivision when you turned the thing on. ... Then again, you've built an entire engine out of welding rod. And what is the other smaller green machine?

The floors look GREAT by the way.

The big green thing is the welder, it has a 400A max ouptut and I think has a 100% duty cycle, it needs a 100A breaker which is why I put a 125A subpanel in the shop. It uses torches (the hand piece) that are water cooled so there is a cooler/tank sitting up on top under the shirt I use for welding at the moment. The plan it to put wheels on it and remove the wooden skips on it now so it will fit under the stairs neatly and set the cooler on the side....we'll see how quickly I get to it.

The other green machine is the bandsaw/cut off saw....I was thinking it was going upstair but its much heavier than I remembered.......

Thanks! The crane didn't seem to even mark it so I'm pretty happy.(....other than the nerve damage in my foot the kneeling to grind it seems to have caused....hopefully that is temporary :( ) The paint on the basement floor was another story, I could hear it cranking and popping as the crane wheels rolled over so the sealer was a huge improvement of that and the little bumps the fibers in the concrete caused give pretty good grip when the floor is wet so they don't bother me that much anymore :)

Wow. In contrast, my little Lincoln 140HD does 140 amps ... at 20% duty cycle.

Double wow.

If you have other heavy stuff going up there, consider installing a trap door and winch.

Interesting. You may be on to something with this sealer stuff. I just checked and tinted sealer is readily available. Tinted sealer might be the way to go for me to blend my old oil stained conrete with the new part.

Is the attached garage floor conventional concrete paint?
