The molding came so I installed that last night. I'll grout it later tonight....then seal everything and install the fixtures and Lana says she's painting so I'll be done in there....in theory.

It went slower than hoped but the powder room is officially handed to Lana. I know she'll come calling for towel rack installs and such but it's off my list.

I also mostly installed the door on the compressor room, I should finish that tonight then paint it and the window sills...I'm about done.

Yesterday I was cleaning, light ring, and realized the chop saw has a nearly new blade so I decided to pull the press out and chop the legs shorter....much nicer. Those legs have been pissing me off almost since the day I built it.

A few small things that take time popped up. I wired the outside garage lights to work with the attached garage lights but Lana doesn't like the the side lights are also on or that its really not to code to wire 2 buildings together so changes are needed...which leads to "while or at it" work. The garage lights are now on a timer switch, and so is the basement door. I ran new wire form the rear patio light switch over to where the small conduit for the garage is. That as for as I got on this.

The plan is to add a switch box in the garage for a timer set to match the house to run the garage front lights off the garage breaker panel so perfectly to code. Then dis connect the side lights and move into the "I think its to code?" part of the plan. I think its ok to sent low voltage wires between building so the patio switch will go to a transformer and 24VAC signal though the existing conduit wires to the garage where there will be a relay with power from the garage panel, so side garage lights work on the house patio switch be are not powered by the the house panel. I ordered the transformer and relay...a furnace pump relay is available at the local stored but 10A...which is plenty but the breaker is 15 and its hard to get to (access panel then crawl) so I just feel better having the relay rated at or above the breaker and I had to order that.

Then the secret room wasn't very secret without a door older son and I worked on a door...which is mostly done. Just mudding everything smooth so it will be less noticeable.

My thought was to wire up a 3 way switch for my garage/back patio/driveway lights with one switch in the house and one switch in the garage. Naturally the house switch would be powered from the house panel and the garage switch powered from the garage panel. Bite me, code!

Yeah.....

I decided to open the wall at the breaker box, it will be screw on panels for future work.

Hidden room is getting a door.

Alright, garage lights on the garage panel, the front lights ate dusk to dawn and side lights on the house patio switch via low voltage signal. Just need to close up the wall....it sucked crawling though the little space over the fiberglass but done.
