Thanks for the info Mike...hadn't even thought about an ERV but probably not a bad idea for a shop to have fresh air. Temps are starting to drop here so AC season is ending and heat won't really be needed until oct or maybe Nov depending how manly I feel so I have some time.....and I still have the portable electric option to muddle through another winter if need be I guess and want to fix the enigne more than I want a comfy shop so engine parts will get funding before hvac.

.....but the hvac needs to get sorted.....never enough money for everything :(

How are you liking the new shop?

I like using spray cleaner and not being hit in the head. I miss having HVAC.

So far so good though....I'm still not really moved and and settled properly...I don't like that kind of work so I jumped back to the car and am of course fighting with not having things in there places while trying to work. The layout seems to work well, I use the tool box to kind of block Lana and Families access to the open bay so the back stays open. All good...need to find HVAC budget.....but the engine is clearly more important than my comfort :)

Driveway guy says the job is finished so I guess we'll be suing him....more fun. Here in PA small claims will cover it so not so bad....just another thing to deal with.

Court is Wed so i spent a couple hours marking out driveway pitch or lack there of....hopefully the judge agrees I really should have expected some.

Good luck, he should have done it right the first time.

I just wastes a bunch of my time. I hired him so it's my fault in Lana's mind even though she didn't approve budget to hire anyone else that she talks about how much she liked when they came to do the estimate....but its still my fault. I hate stuff like this so I drag my feet and measuring the driveway and making the sketch pretty much wasted all weekend even though its only about 3 hours actual work.

....then even if we win I can't imagine he'll actually pay us....but we'll see.

Got a call from the court....guy changed lawyers and requested a delay, now scheduled for Nov 6.

Funny he finds it worth the bother to hire 1 lawyer much less 2. I suspect all he did was pay the lawyer $50 to send me a letter not the $500-$1000 it will cost to have the lawyer show up for court thinking I'd be scared and accept the offer to discuss a settlement. But at least now I have everything prepared and Wednesdays are work from home days for me so super easy to pop into court or not.

Walked into the shop today and 12 year old's face went pale and took on a sort of terror.......

I looked at him, looked at the tool chest....

You ok?

Nothing broken?

or bruised?

So just the little cut on your finger?

How many draws did you open before it tipped over?

You understand why we only open 1 at time now?

You can help me clean it up later, let's go take care of the cut before mama sees it.
