A couple yrs ago I was doing some research on displacement current. For those who may not know, what that term is describing is the charge that flows between plates in a capacitor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Displacement_current

The research was to see if there was anyway to exploit this phenomenon and utilize it for other "projects". The project developed to where it's out of my hands but I will share some of the more interesting early work.

The experiment setup was two copper plates of 3" dia, those were the capacitor plates. between the plates was placed a pancake coil. the leads are put thru a rectifier circuit. The plates are attached to a constant AC voltage source as this effect is a time variant one. Later tests involved HV pulsed DC.

Things got interesting when using the HV DC signal, as then it's possible to exploit the resonance of the system and use a log periodic antennae for the coil and single lead rectification.

Unfortunately that's all I can disclose at this time.

Quantum electro-dynamics? You're going to get me to pull some old books off the shelf.
