There are plenty of high compressive strength insulation materials (Armatec e.g.) which will easily carry a pool table. I once bought a house which had a really nice beech wood floor on top of underfloor heating which wasn‘t glued down but just laid on. The basement underneath was REALLY cozy if you wanted some heat in the living room, Ceiling was at 40 deg Celsius. You‘ll waste a lot of energy if this is wrong. Be that as it may, I am starting to suspect Lana doesn‘t exist and you just rather dabble on the house than the engine :-)...

I guess another way to look at it is I know exactly where the pool table is going so there is no reason I couldn't make that specific area stronger.

Yesterday in the middle of a discussion about where the fridge should go (after I'd already finished framing a place for it which was the last framing as it was delayed wait on a location decision which I'd been given the day before, and was ready to solder in the waterline) I got hit with a request to put the basement on its own air-handler..wait what? We talked about this and how the basement mostly only needs heat which will mostly come from the floor and we'd use a zoning system of the 1st floor unit for any AC and extra heat in the winter and that is how we justified the cost of the floor heat...remember.....yes Love, I'll find a place for another air-handler and figure out some way to re-plumb the geo field stuff to connect it......but i don't see how I can fit that and take another 6ft out of the storage/mechanical room for the pantry you're asking for today.......yes Love, it possible at least in theory.....
