He'll probably be even happier when he sees the net effect on acceleration. The rotational moment of inertia is reduced by considerably more than the ratio of the before-and-after weights, since most (all?) of the removed material was on the outside of the flywheel. I've done this in the past and seen 2+ second reductions in 0-60 time. (Hmmm...when I do the clutch on my 330i...hmmm....)
He was really happy.
Its been a while. I never heard back from my HCAV guy but the guy I helped with the bmw flywheel had and hvac pump and gauge set he lent me and the heat pump is running and the shop is warm. Its supposed to be alexa compatible but that tuned out to be worthless because it needs to on the house wifi if I want to control it from the house but the signal isn't strong on....it work when the shop door is open.
I had Ducati stuff but he's back to school and I used the leaf blower to de-fiberglass dust the shop. Then a nasty stomach bug killed last weekend. Tonight I did a little work. First is set the mill head to the valve angle
