The rotational moment of inertia is reduced by considerably more than the ratio of the before-and-after weights, since most (all?) of the removed material was on the outside of the flywheel. I've done this in the past and seen 2+ second reductions in 0-60 time. (Hmmm...when I do the clutch on my 330i...hmmm....)

Its been a while. I never heard back from my HCAV guy but the guy I helped with the bmw flywheel had and hvac pump and gauge set he lent me and the heat pump is running and the shop is warm. Its supposed to be alexa compatible but that tuned out to be worthless because it needs to on the house wifi if I want to control it from the house but the signal isn't strong on....it work when the shop door is open.

I currently have a netgear through the electric wires network in the shop but that's its own network ID so no-go for this application

No way to get a network cable from the house/router to the shop to plug in an access point? Would be the best solution….

This is my suggestion. With the size of the house, it would be worth putting access points on each floor, too. Way better and more stable WiFi than screwing around with repeaters and range extenders.

There's always a way. Network is low voltage so 6" underground is all that's needed I think and the main router in the basement is about 12ft from the shop, so yeah, I could run a hardline in the spring if the wifi extender thing I ordered an hour ago doesn't do the trick....I don't need a good high speed signal, just enough so it connects and I can stream music and make forum posts of course Funny thing is for whatever reason its working right now....it almost has enough signal as-is. I was a bit annoyed at how cold it was in the shop when I went out....the celling is nice and warm but the rest of the shop not so much....auto fan apparently doesn't move enough air to mix it up enough. I had the same issue with the window AC unit, fan on high was required.

Put in a mesh network. You won't regret it. I got the DECO 6E from Costco. Came with 3 stations. I have one in my office hooked to the Verizon router and one upstairs in a guest bedroom near the window closest to my detached garage and one in the garage itself. Perfect wifi internet anywhere in the house or anywhere on the property or garage. Mesh is much better than a wifi extender because it works as one network vs the extender where your device has sees treats the extender as a separate network even if it shares the same SSID. Best $250 you will spend and super easy setup. No hardwired connections to deal with.

The one in my office is connected to my FIOS router and the other two are wireless and the great part is they have network ports on them as well so you can hardwire devices to the mesh nodes if you want. You can also add more nodes if you need more than 3. In my case the one in my office takes care of the main level and basement, the one upstairs in the corner nearest the detached garage gives me line of sight to the one in the garage and also gives me wifi anywhere on my 1 acre property.
