Scary grinding noises? Motor or car? Hopefully it is just something seized from all those years of sleep..

BMW 328xi, my daily driver. IT's a rebuild salvage I bought last summer and it had what seems an odd twitch in the rear and today I found out what is was when the bolt holding the appearently damaged upper control arm broke letting the arm drop onto the axle and grind when the now not proberly retained wheel carrier moved around.

Easy fix once I get the broken bolt out of the wheel carrier.
