Nope not ground down, these are custom made.

They look really beefy down by the valve head....maybe I'm seeing things.

I use Ferrea Valves. I always talk to Zeke. He makes me what ever I want. Never had an issue.

Manley will make them however you want.
http://manleyperformance.com/

I believe they have blanks for 308 2V exhaust valves. I sent them a sample of one of the sodium-filled valves and they exactly duplicated them in some exotic stainless steel concoction they use. Fit perfectly.

My heads were done by a Top Fuel dragster engine builder and he swears by Manley. I have the dimensional drawings and specifications from Manley if you need them.

Hey, I used Manley valves once.............just once.
1972 Alloy body comp Ferrari Daytona. One of Five alloy race cars. Didn't last long enough to get to the track and test it. Cost me 12 sleeves, (rusted), one piston, one rod (Titanium), a cylinder head and a complete set of Ferrea valves. Manley said I most of bent it first. Funny though. The valve head remains that shattered are magnetic and the perfectly straight stem left in the head is not magnetic.
Anyway, no Manley for me.
