Manual....I have a cart for the mower to the move the dirt I dig out but its a lot of work....doable but slow.

There is talk of some additional lard work and pushing the basement completion out until next spring when we hope the virus crap will have passed and we can plan birthday parties and such again.....but the other jobs are bigger so I'll be pushing pretty hard to rent some equipment if that work happens. Part of that includes the option to put a shed out by the garden which would mean mowers and such out of my shop so a little upside.

The piston vise is here (thanks!) and has been but lately the only time it rains is at night so by day I'm expected to work outside.

The night rain fills/collapses my trench, then day cone and I pump/dig it back out... . But the concrete is in and the block just popping out of the ground so night rain no longer matters. Should have the block finished this weekend.....unless we get day rain, then I'll have the pistons finished :)

As of Sunday evening it's a wall with the block all filled with steel and concrete.....so yesterday we started discussing if it should be a full wall or maybe stepped or angled to follow the grade more. :o

To a drywell......a huge pit of gravel buried in the side yard. Run-off is a big issue these days as more houses in the burbs and country mean more flooding near rivers, which almost all are near cities or other dense population areas. So, before handing out building permits they like hardscape like roofs, to have a way to keep all the water that used to stay on site to still stay on site....so the builder had to install a drywell.

So the good news is I don't need the cut the new wall back to the tape lines in the last pic.

The bad news is the wall now needs to be just over twice as long and round

The even worse news is there is talk of a whole new round wall on the other side of the patio longer than what I just finished and what new was requested combined
