I was playing with some old stuff, here is the old engine vs the new. They should feel about the same up to about 4000....my memory must be fading as the new just seemed much faster than I remembered.

Can't find the photo but I recently saw a rally spec 308 which had a dark mesh across the vent. Looked quite good and would go some way to obscuring the blend.

That is something to consider. I'm hoping that an angle change coupled with a color change will look both intentional and purposeful which in turn tends to be non offending. It will be a leaf and bug trap though so a cover might be a way to hide it should ugly really be the best word to describe it while also adding a bit of function.

I'm not unhappy with this.  I don't like the way the nose of the filter looks, the chrome has to go but I'll probably also try to print a nose piece for it to give it a more vent opening like shape and see how that looks.  The other option I'm pondering is maybe reshaping it but a printed piece is easier so I'll stat there once the system is functional.

It is not terrible. But body color may help and the chrome being black may help too. You have to have it to feed that beast. I think it is going to be just right.

I think the filter has to go black. Looks a bit 'ricer' as is. The blend came out nicely though.

Yes, its just awful. satin black, the same I plan to paint the duct for sure but also maybe something like this snapped on the front..its not right yet but you get the idea, kind of match the shape of the duct on that front face so itr looks like it belongs there.
