That's exactly where my head is at....clean air and drive it. Once it's running I'll know exactly what the hp loss is and can decide if it's worth revisiting this next winter.

The basement geo system is running so hopefully I can get back to ducts that matter now.

I guess also I was trying to optimize the new geo a bit. I Knew I had spare capacity in the 1st floor geo loop so I just Tee'd the new unit in. But then I had to get a couple relays so either unit can start the circulator pump without back feeding power into the other system and installing ate some time.

Then the New unit really wasn't running right which I correctly guessed that the way I Tee'd it in wasn't giving it adequate water flow so I added a throttle, which means I beat the pipe feeding the 1st floor, which I know was getting way more water than it needed, unit until the basement unit discharge temp was in spec. Seems simple but It took a few days because I didn't want to do too much and had no idea what too much might look like.

Everything is working well now but it all eats time and I'm still not finished with the foam

That is a lot of complicated piping. Just live in the south.

They have geo systems in the south too.....basically free AC. Almost done wrapping, should be free by the weekend.

Its a lot of pipes but they are duplicates...8 loops buried out in the side yard. Most people get wells dug which is a little more efficient and saves space in the yard, but I have a big yard so this was a lot cheaper and meant I had an excuse to rent some big machines. Buy a lot of pipe, make coils, dig holes...that's it.

I am 100% certain that I've seen a custom margarita maker powered by something like an Indycar engine - put together by the team as a joke. And I've been looking for pictures of it off and on for a day now to post here about how that would seem more like your style - but my Google skills are failing me.

Well, now you know.
