Yesterday I thought the intake seats were ready, today I realized there was a small area that hadn't cleaned up on both.....it turns out standing at the machine I can only see 3/4 of the way around the holes.... DOH!

It's fixed now and I dressed all the exhaust seat holes back to round so they are also ready. Also cleaned the very obviously doesn't belong weld out of the ports.....but they are still rough until I finish cutting the seats and can be certain about what goes and more importantly what stays.

The 5 cylinders should be here soon....they shipped last Monday. I ordered the seats from summit because they are cheaper there...but due to ship 12/20. Finishing a little painting and trim for Lana this weekend then I should be on the engine full time again. I need to get the guides and 4 new valve cut....then cylinders , then the seats should be here. I'm thinking 2-3 weeks and this stuff will be wrapped up.

Still need to get the crank ground....which means bearings need to be here. I need to get that sorted and replacement rods found and Jan should be assembly time.

Spotted this in the garage this morning in the corner kind of behind Lana's car....almost like I wasn't supposed to notice it and keep doing house work. Time to make 5 more cylinders.

40 years! not 40 pizzas? :o ...I'm probably at 15, which is what?..like 30 minutes on a Friday night? :)

Anything you CAN drive counts and puts you way ahead of me :lol:

I like the no sign look.....maybe its pizza, maybe an adult shop, you'll need to come in to find out :)

So I got going cutting cylinders and as #3 came off step 1 I realized #1&2 are scrap :(

#1 bore looks nice but its tapered WAY too much to fix. #2 has less taper but with the tool chatter I'm sure it won't clean up. #3 is good....I was playing with setup and this 1 cut much better but now I'm 2 blank short. I didn't order replacements yet, I tuned up the drawing and asked for a finished price before deciding how to proceed.
