I thought I'd start a thread on the 4L build from last yr. Some may already know of the build from fchat but for those who don't and those who like car porn I thought it's be neat to see.

Custom 4L, These builds use the 360 crank to increase the stroke. The bore is taken out to 89mm and custom darton liners are installed by Guru Steve D. I had custom pistons and rods made as well. The gudgeon pin or wrist pin is increased to handle the loads and forces of 9k rpm and hgh compression. Cams are also customized. EFI of course and COP ignition. I've switched over to Link ECU's from electromotive as well.

On with the pics...

Super cool.
Lovely rods and pistons.

As an aside why did you locate the air filter there?

Do you have dyno results yet?

Are those stock QV cams?

I think I've seen them before, but the 4 tube fittings that are the basis of the fuel rails are pretty snazzy.

What engine control?

I would very much like to see the dyno sheet on that engine. That is a lot of air to get through the stock intake without boost and it looks like the 503 claim is based on a simulation so I have to wonder what the inputs/assumptions were......my gut is telling my 350hp as shown.

Scott likes to keep stuff reversable so his injector conversion is a bolt-on I think vs mine thats neater (IMO) but permanent.
