Got the new drawings and its not completely clear where they made changes. A little more rim thickness in the front, a little less in the rear...they used 3.2mm for both, I used 3/3.5 The weight is up a light at 25.3/26.2....the front includes what is effectively s spacer stuck on to set the offset right so the 1 piece is lighter than the 550 front plus spacer, the rear is 1/2 lb heavier, again probably in the hub.

it looks like they added a little more meat the the spokes between the ribs. I had a constant 8mm cross section, they have what looks like about 8 growing to more like 12 near the hub. this must be the area they were concerned about the strength on.

With my new 18' wheels my 308 is another to be F1ish as F1 is also moving to 18"

https://www.yahoo.com/news/bigger-tires ... 56596.html

The circuit will switch to 18-inch tires beginning in the 2021 season, one of a series of changes it is making as it embarks on a new contract with the Italian tire-maker Pirelli that begins next year and runs through 2023. F1 has used 13-inch tires for decades.

someone on fchat gave me the correct paint code so i asked....they had no idea what a paint code is so back to "silver".. They sent this pic of the color they normally use and it looks fine I think...easy enough to respray if I don't like it though.

I just got a shipping update. Its 3 days factory to port, into a container for the next ship, then 25-30 days but Im not sure if that includes US port to me. 5-6 weeks I guess total. The wheel will be leaving port on Wed 8/14 so mid Sept. to me.

I just got a tracking number and with it UPS found me 3 more tracking numbers. They are waiting delivery at ups facility....and they have some waiting. The I got notice they were finished and paid Tues the 6th, them 3 days to port then wait to a Wed, means the wheels on a ship that just left 8/14 so they won't hit land until sometime in the week of 9/8....but the ground shipping labels have been created and are waiting to get slapped on.
