What will the sensors be used for?

Wheel speeds are needed to make traction/launch control work...and I'm expecting to have major traction issues :)

Yes you will.

I spent a couple hours mostly just trying to sort out brake/clutch lines routing and sizes and adapters in my head....I have such a hodge podge of parts.

Running the hydraulic parking brake means lines in the cabin so that will be new lines then I'm thinking I can just pre-purposing the current line running to the back to be the clutch line. That runs with the main battery cable which is now too short as the starter is now on the back side of the engine so that needs to be replaced. Since I'm now running the rear lines into the cabin anyway I'm thinking it would be a good idea to put the new rear proportioning valve someplace accessible like the ash tray perhaps.

Anyway...I need to order a bunch of adapters

I really detest working with brake & clutch fittings - they have so many weird flare configurations..... There's an outfit called Brakequip that has a pretty good catalog of fittings & adapters, however, half the problem is figuring out exactly what it is that you have.

You beat me, my next post was going to be to ask if anyone knew where to find some of the adapters I need to conect all these parts I have :(

I just ordered like $50 of adapters so hopefully I'll be able to connect everything now.....

Could you not have used alloy to keep your unsprung weight down?

Also why the heck do you want traction control? Where is the fun in that :D Nothing more fun than a car with way too much power :D :D

The sensors need something magnetic to look at. My original plan 8 years ago before the F430 rotors was cast rotors with ally hats and read the 8 or 10 ears/bolts that held the rotors to the hats...but I lost that option when I switched to the F430 stuff.

I guess now that I really think about it I probably could make alloy parts and just put bolts or pins in them for the sensor to read....hmmmmmm

The why question is 2 parts. Launch control makes the car faster, there is just no way around that. The traction control probably makes the car faster too but the real purpose there is so I'm not terrified to let others drive it or terrified to get caught out in the rain. The last engine was very well mannered for the power it made but was also a major handful on a brisk morning with cold tires or anytime the roads were even damp so I just think adding the traction control will make general everyday driving more fun by making it less stressful.....but don't worry, I will be installing an off switch in the system because there is nothing more fun than a car with WAY too much hp

I think I found a home for the ECU. I could push it up about an inch higher if I clip the corner off the defroster ducting, but I think it will be fine and the cover go on nicely as is. My first thought when I saw none of the mounting holes came close to anything I could screw into was velcro.....but I think I'll make an adapter plate so I can screw it in place.

I need to do a wiring diagram sooner rather then later I think......there is a lot going on.
