The printer is mostly all back together. The new extruder sticks down about 25mm more than stock, so I added spacers to get the z travel back where it should be. Made a new wire harness. Then spent the week trying to figureout why the new extruder didn't run...which turned out to be the test function for the extruder doesn't work and there was nothing wrong with the extruder.....well nothing wrong with the stepper motor anyway, what was wrong is I assembled it incorrectly and melted it before I realized anything was wrong. Why did I assemble it incorrectly you may ask? Well it turns out they don't include any documentation of any kind and the critical nature of how a spacer is install is only obvious once the exdruder is melting....the new new extruder will arrive Saturday and the old new and newly melted extruder will get shipped back. Then it will be time to print again.
