I looked at similar...they all need at least a 19mm (3/4") stop.....which is why I had that on the drawing to begin with.

I bought a pint of Ferrari silver, ppg 36520 and did a spray out... the Ferrari pretty close but a little darker than China silver

They use an industrial silver and work with pantone shade numbers not paint codes. For sure they could provide a pantone number but you can't go to the store and say give me pantone xxxx and think it will match really. What's left of the the pint of ferrari silver is probably the closer than the toughup paint I bought....but right now they're new and don't need touchup so I'm good :)

I'm looking into options for the more standard 16x7, 8, 9 sizes. I'm told there should be monoblock blanks for them by summer. 3pc can be done but I was told the lead time is quite long...trying to find out the details now.

I thought you could go to a local shop and have a pantone code mixed there.
Second solution, asking the supplier to send you 5cl of paint.
Third, go to a shop that owns a paint scanner to find the closest match possible.

I'm sure if..I mean WHEN the day comes that the engine runs :) ...and I get chips on the wheels I can figure out a paint match solution and the path you propose seems right other than adding just respay them to the correct ferrari color.
