Following up on this. Mike from EngineLab reached out, quite possibly after I blew up the online verification section by trying multiple serial numbers to see if any of them would return a result. According to Mike, EngineLab is ending support for the AEM ecus but haven't yet updated the website to reflect that. However, he was able to get the firmware for my device! I'm excited to learn the system and get it working on my RX-7.

Great news! You want me to zip my stuff and share it or you want to go from scratch?

If you wouldn’t mind, having a known good starting point to reference would be super helpful.

One thing I’ve noticed, and I’m not sure if it’s something I’m missing (conceptually) or it’s an actual error. When running in simulator mode as an Infinity 5 (Venice) I don’t see any CoilX_Out channels. But if I switch to the Infinity 7 simulator (Zuma12), they appear.

I’ve run a couple ‘spark’ scripts hoping that would bring them in, and it doesn’t.

For sure there is no other place to get fw.

If they stopped supporting aem upgrades I wonder if they updated EL condole......what are the version numbers for the fw and console and I'll compare to what I have. I should have a few versions of El console...should

Another thing i just noticed is that the EUGO in/out channels are not visible either. The simulator for Infinity 7 also has some channels not shown in the hardware list. I’ll compare against the EL129 sim for reference. Maybe this portion of the hardware is actually different on an Infinity branded ECU and isn’t configurable. Idk

I’m currently running:

EL Console 1.978814

FW
INF51.97.8809 <— currently loaded on ecu for no reason other than more bigger number is more better number
INF51.97.8723
INF51.97.8626

Console I have 8810 and FW looks like 8739

Are you sure the FW loaded and you are no longer in flash mode?

Tonight I was able to connect to the hardware again and verify that it does indeed have the firmware installed. This ECU was previously used on running engines, though with AEM firmware. I went back one FW level to see if that had any change, but everything appears the same. I'm going to assume these channels are unlisted because they can't be reconfigured. The power, ground, and can tx/rx channels are also unlisted. I'll add a few connections to my bench harness to see if I can capture any coil trigger events and/or can data with an engine input simulator running.

In File > Application Options > Main

I do have 'show hidden channels' set to true.

Yes. I would love to see your model.
