If I spin up a completely blank simulator with Infinity 7 selected and clear config to verify it is empty, it shows coils on pins 11-16. That also matches with the documentation for Infinity 5, but in the simulator for Infinity 5 and while connected to the hardware, those pins are absent from the hardware list. It's possible I'm making something out of nothing, I'm just trying to make sense of the differences I'm seeing.

HW usage should match what the HW has and be something like this

I do not recall how to get the simulator set to the correct board....I think I connected to the real hw and saved the file then opened it and modified?

Application Options > Simulator > Board Type

Infinity Series 5 is Venice
Infinity Series 7 is Zuma 12

I have been slowly configuring some items in the model. I had previously downloaded what I assume to be an earlier version of your model, unless there's also another guy out there running a 308 on an EL system. I was using that in concert with the documentation on the EL site to get a better understanding of the model and what the requirements are. I had setup an engine description with cam & crank trigger, added the spark and injector required channels, a couple analog inputs. Nothing to the point where I was ready to test, still just poking around.
