I move the pick fitting...it was too close to the frame.

I move the drain, is was over the frame and way too small....it was 3/3 NPT now its -12

Mounts are on.....so the tank is pretty much finished.

The schedule says 50 hours left....probably a little low but the list is getting short.

Sure seems like you could have saved a few bucks and time and just built your own tank at this point?

Probably. The plan was to save time and just buy something ready to install......but it didn't work out that way

A very boring morning in the shop. I cleaned up a bit of the huge mess the oil tank project left then on to the excitement of measuring oil line and ordering fitting! I think that's all sorted now.

I also have for venting the crank case which I'd forgotten about. I'm going to add 1/2" hose barbs to 2 or the little teardrop caps on the front of the engine, they will T to a 3/4" hose and go to the top fitting on the line tank, then the tank will get a 1/2" vent......that I may run to the air box, not sure about that yet.

Now to figure out coolant lines I guess.

With a 1,000 hp, I presume you are going with a large rooftop mounted radiator. :D

LOL. I've got a pretty big aluminum radiator up front that I put in to deal with the heat from the supercharged engine....I'm thinking it will do fine.

I checked the clearances for the oil lines with the wheel on to refresh my memory. The pic makes it look tighter than is, there's nearly a full 3/4"...plenty.....I hope.

Then I decided I didn't really like the angle the water pump feed was sitting at and since I needed to add a fitting for a by-pass line anyway I cut it off and performed a little tig welding magic. I think I have a good plan for all the coolant lines now.....we'll see how it goes tomorrow when I try to make the plan reality.

I trook a perfectly good T-stat housing and cut it to bits because I know you guys like it when I do stuff like that :)

T'stat and coolant lines are finished other than a little cleanup and I want to add a support bracket to the T-stat. Yesterday's twist the pump fitting means that no line it required there, just a 12" straight hose.

Oh, and the schedule says I'm now under 40 hours remaining. It's looking like the logistics of getting part here when I need then is going to drive the timeline at this point.
