Then on to some wires. I mostly made up the fuel harnesses but didn't have the proper heat shrink for the connector end. I'll get that ordered Monday, but the TBs can now be installed for keeps as is I think.

Long story short the the intakes are not ready to install :(

This morning I awoke to the realization that mostly what I did yesterday was ruin materials when I made those harnesses. I don't know where my head was but the colored signal wires are grounds so they are in the wrong side of the connector and the other wire should have been a red or some flavor because they need to be 12V. Looking through my wire this morning the I realized that when the guy called to tell me some of my choices were out of stock so he substituted that left me with no matching reds in different gauges like I need ot change one line off the relay into 12 lines to the coils and injectors so I need to call and see what they have. Also I probably should have bought 8 pin, not 12 pin connectors as there really is no reason to split the power in the main harness, it should be in the sub-harness, but since I have them I may add other items like the coolant temp which is buried under the intakes and coolant tube.

I thought I was the only one that did stuff like this. I don't feel so bad now......

As long as you understand the color it's probably fine. Some people use all white or all black wire.

The polarity doesn't matter for solenoids like a fuel injector either, so you could just leave all of the wires black, solder them together as one and use a different color on the other side of the connector.

That's right and my first thought was to move on, wire is wire.....but in my mind it adds unneeded complexity and future confusion so best to just fix it now. The new connectors and sorted out wire colors shipped yesterday so I'll have them in a couple days.

For tonight the fuel line and fittings arrived yesterday so I'll work on that and I still haven't decided how I want to mount the coils and I have a mess in the old wiring left from work I started 8 years ago to clean up...lots to do so a little delay installing the TBs is irrelevant other than it annoys me.

It's not just you.

Everything's nice
...cause I do it all twice

What type of coils?

Are they on plug or near plug?

D585 coil near plug that won't be all that near in my install because I want to keep the top of the engine neat.

LS2 coils?

I have a set of 8 of those, I am planning on testing them along with a few others for spark duration and ignition energy. I will report back with data sometime. I'm testing against Bosch P35 (regular COP), and two flavors of Woodward coils (rated at over 100 mJ at rated dwell...). I'm mostly looking for better lean ignition, you probably aren't so concerned with that.

Yes, but I think the ones I have are an older style

Mine look like that but black. I believe they were removed from an engine which was being scrapped.

I'm struggling with the fuel lines. I was planning to go pump, rail, regulator but there's not a lot of room (aka no room) for the out flow. What I thought would fit just won't. I could weld some elbows to the end of the rail and snake it out the space I have or just cap it and T the inlet line for the regulator or throw out the regulator and let the ECU handle pressure.......delays.......
