The pump control code own is 10khz, that won't make pulses...100hz maybe, but not 10k. Plus it's set to 100% and always has been other than when I tested the signal with a scope, I've never tried to slow the pump down.....and I use a regulator that will smooth anything that is high enough to trigger it.

I think it's just a tired pump and I need to order a new one. In theory the pump is rebuildable......but the new one will be here friday. Hopefully that's it.

I think this explains something that was confusing me yesterday. After it had warmed up and was running good, I turned the fuel backbone during cranking and was pleasantly surprised that it would literally exploded to life, but then start missing and wasn't interested in running much below 1500.....fuel pressure is 60 at cranking in all my logs and drops after a second or so. Now I need to wait patiently until Friday:(

While I wait I decided to have a go at finding the source of the oil on the floor.

I know the oil tank vent is open and at least misting the top of the engine and I left a cam access plug off to vent the crank case....so time to something with them and see if that solves it or if there is something more lower down. I'll put the vent inside the airbox once I have an air box, but for now its in a 1/2 gal milk jug in the trunk

I've been lurking in the background following this thread since the beginning. Fascinating. Up to this point I haven't had anything to add, but in this case I must point out that I do believe that it is a requirement that oil catch cans on a Ferrari look like this:

LOL

I want to do a little more test/logging of the cylinder MAP code to be sure its doing what I think its doing but I went ahead and wrote code to correct cylinder mixture based on the MAP reading of that cylinder figuring I'll want it sooner or later and now its ready to go whenever I'm ready.

I still need to get oil pressure working too....I may look at that tonight but I'm not sure there is any way to get to the sensor without removing the intake and I'm not interest in doing that at the moment. If I can't get to it I'll see if I can mount the replacement somewhere else for now....like where the oil temp sensor is on the filter housing maybe.

Oh, and I found the missing velocity stack while I was looking at oil leaks.....it had fallen down in the engine bay and was bouncing around on top of the belt. Its a little scuffed and generally not as nice as the replacement I made but its found.

Well......so close but that's it for this season.

Plug 8 didn't want to come out......because it was melted. I can't really tell what I'm looking at with the cheap borescope but its clearly not good....maybe dropped a seat and smashed it around? Don't know but its time to focus on building a garage.

Just unplug that injector and get it running on the remaining 11. That's still three more cylinders than a Corvette has.
