me too.

Oil pump f-up aside the engine itself is almost done and then it's just normal engine swap type tasks to finish up. Even Lana commented that it now looks like and engine.

I have been trying to go through things in my mind to decide what I want to do this year and what goes on the list for future rounds. For example the car needs paint but that's not happening until all the tuning/debugging is done. So it won't be done-done this year but I'll settle for running :)

Forgot to get to the point. I've been thinking I want to use fairly long stacks so I have no reason in the world to spin the engine past 9500 and had it in my head that I would loss quite a bit by going shorter on the stacks because I'd done optimal tune vs tuned to crash at 9500 and saw a big difference. But optimal meant quite a few changes. If I only change the stack length the only thing I really seem to loss is the crash at 9500 which I can create with a rev limited so who cares?

This matters because for sure 12" stack fit under the stock hood and 13" might fit so for round 1 which is just get it running short stack saves me dorking with the engine lid which wold then need to be painted.

I would prefer to "dork" with the lid if the outcome is something similar if not identical to the pizza mans lid, which in my opinion is beautifull.

I'm not saying I'm NEVER going to dork with the lid, I'm just not going to do it before first run. I want to make of buy a light weight composite lid and a few other parts...you know, to help my hp/lb ratio, but anything that I can push to after first run I'd like to push and get on with the running/driving part of the project :)

A little clean-up on the housing. I had to add a little flange lip but it all looks stock now :)

I'll do the fittings tomorrow and then I'll be back on track to install the timing cover this weekend.

Sorry that is looking so good that you can't use threaded rod as the studs you have to make proper ones, or make some tubes that can slip over the long threaded part :).
