No way to get a network cable from the house/router to the shop to plug in an access point? Would be the best solution….

There's always a way. Network is low voltage so 6" underground is all that's needed I think and the main router in the basement is about 12ft from the shop, so yeah, I could run a hardline in the spring if the wifi extender thing I ordered an hour ago doesn't do the trick....I don't need a good high speed signal, just enough so it connects and I can stream music and make forum posts of course  Funny thing is for whatever reason its working right now....it almost has enough signal as-is. I was a bit annoyed at how cold it was in the shop when I went out....the celling is nice and warm but the rest of the shop not so much....auto fan apparently doesn't move enough air to mix it up enough. I had the same issue with the window AC unit, fan on high was required.

If you have Mitsubishi splits, that's just how they are programmed. We had to remember to put the fans on High whenever the outside temperature fell much below 15. Very annoying that they wouldn't do it themselves.

I just put the node in the spare bedroom and the one in the detached garage by the windows. My guess is if you put one of the two near a window nearest the detached garage it would work. Make sure you have a mesh and not an extender. Two totally different animals.

Like I said mine I put the master unit near my verizon fios router with a network cable running between the two units and the other two placed as I mentioned. I turned the wifi off on the Verizon router and just connect to the mesh network now. The extenders are fine if you stay in one place but don't work well if you say connect while you are in the garage and then walk to the house. With the extender it will try to stay connected to whichever one it is connected to until the signal pretty much drops out and then tries to connect to the other one. The mesh is seamless as you move around.

Its a Senville but fan on high uses electricity so they get a higher efficacy rating by slowing it down I guess. I'll just leve it on high and when I'm in the shop I've started running a box fan to mix it up even better

Kind or hard to see but I epoxied around the plates that are supposed to be sealing the cam galley from the intake port

I'll start cutting intake valve to size tomorrow I guess.

I was going to say that Coventry Climax, who built F1 championship winning engines in the 50's and 60's, fixed porosity issues with Araldite - worked just as well as welding without the hassle.

Great minds think alike :)

The shop wifi node is great. Plugged the thing in up stairs and perfect. Now, the heatpump software is shit the best I can tell and actually using the connection locks the thing up but I can read/post to forums in the shop now

My buddy's valve grinder chuck doesn't got small enough for the my 5mm valve stems. I wasted a bunch of time making an adapter to send him....hopefully it runs true enough to be usable

Then I got about 2/3 the valve cut to finish length

Tomorrow if there is power I hope to finish them up. I've also got myself 3/4 talked into a new ECU project....more to come on that once I'm completely talked into it but its a couple very talented guys I've known for many years who think together we could make something I will like even more than the enginelab unit I currently have so that's hard to say no to.

I lot of snow yesterday.

I started out on the mill, finish cutting to length, simple....but I ruined 1 :( I guess it wasn't up against the stop properly and came out short. A 25th intake valve is on order.

Sorry I have been away awhile. New job and all that. The projects are looking good. I did get the big block on the run stand and it is doing very well. Nice and crisp and no leaks.

I've now got myself completely talked into an ECU project but really do need a HW/PCB guy I can also talk into it...ping me if that might be you :)
mark@gemellocattivo.com

This is using the same tech the cosworth F1 ECUs used back in the 19000rpm V12 days and can do 7nanoSec accuracy on 12 spark and 24 fuel channels while is reads/logs Analog channels at 1Mhz. This has had me a bit distracted this week plus its been SOOO cold I really didn't want to go out and warm up the shop.
