They make good stuff and these were catalog items (blanks), the problem was old stock kicking around the country and KW having no idea it was out there....and getting someone on the phone who could sort out the issue.
They do make good stuff, but from an engineering collaborative effort... well.. that was a like pulling teeth. Look I get that we do onesies and twosies and maybe some small run stuff but to be rude and completely unhelpful to a not just a customer but another business looking to work with you?? I've got better things to do with my time then chase after people like that.[/quote]
No, there is no excuse to be rude. If they didn't want the work they should have just said so. I was effectively dealing with the same thing in that they only wanted to talk to the deal and when he finally send them my parts the first response to him was the old and new are identical, they checked on the laser blah blah...when I spoke to them and he explained that I said "the whole valve including the chamber face? Silence for a moment then " I never looked at them. I had them open the box and check the profile and send me the result. I'll go in to the office and check them myself and call you back" From there is was a conversation about making it right for both parties, he had the revision history I'd asked the dealer for 3 or 4 times and they sorted out the issue.
The father started the business, the son now runs it and does seem to know what he's doing and seemed a nice guy. The father was a racer, I'm not so sure the son ever was, just the sense I got but made I'm wrong. It just seems to be a matter of getting "in" past the layers designed to keeep the average idiot out....once you're in they make good stuff.
